TAPE AND JOINTING
Tape and jointing is an alternative way of finishing to plastering and is suitable for partitions, ceilings and bulkheads. Tapered edge plasterboards are used as opposed to square edge in the building stage.
THE TAPING AND JOINTING PROCESS
Tape and jointed tape is applied to the joints of the boards.
This is followed by jointing compound!
Two more coats of jointing compound are typically applied and then are sanded to leave a flush smooth finish.
Once this is done, decorations can commence.
